Never one to shy away from challenge and risk, he then moved into the world of acting and trained at the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Dave has worked extensively in theatre and television. His credits include:

Downton Abbey, Eastenders, Coronation Street and Blood Brothers in the West End.

Dave also has a background in stand-up comedy and has gigged up and down the country, enjoying laughs, cuddles and salty snacks with anyone who cared to join him.

Dave has been Laughologist since 2008. Highly engaging, dynamic, fast-paced and quick-witted, he has been delivering workshops and programmes for Laughology in education, health and business.

As a facilitator, presenter and trainer, Dave has worked nationally and internationally in business and education for the last 20 years. He specialises in change management, improving teamwork and communication, developing creativity and enhancing wellbeing.

He has worked with: Sotheby’s, Liverpool Victoria, BP, Regus, Hewlett Packard, British Aerospace, Metropolitan Police, Royal Bank of Scotland and BNP Parribas.

In education, he has worked with students, parents, NQTs, teachers, SLTs and headteachers, delivering outstanding training on topics as wide-ranging as risk-taking, curiosity, managing change, leadership, thinking skills, memory, P4C and the brain. Dave has also worked on Laughology’s Happy-centred schools programme.

Meet the Host

Vicki started teaching in 1997. She became a Head of English in 2004 and worked in two schools as an Assistant Headteacher from 2010 until 2016 when she was appointed to a position as a Deputy Headteacher.

 

During her time as a school leader, Vicki trained as a coach and developed her coaching skills supporting staff and pupils
in each of the schools in which she worked by adopting a coaching philosophy and leadership style and using coaching to support pupil and staff development.

 

Since making the decision to leave teaching to set up her own coaching business, Vicki has worked with many different organisations and individuals including numerous schools and multi-academy trusts and over 100 school leaders. She is also a Leadership Performance Coach on the NPQSL and NPQH national leadership programmes.

 

She has created and presents the We Lead Well podcast on which she
interviews headteachers, school leaders and prominent educationalists about leadership and wellbeing and she has created and delivers the Women Lead Well group coaching programme for female school leaders and the Women Lead Well Network. In 2021, she gained accreditation as a consultant for Resilient Leaders Elements.
