A bestselling author and leadership expert is set to host a conference in Cumbria.
Cumbria Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Conference will take place on Tuesday, April 8, from 9.30am to 3pm, at The Villa, Levens.
The event will be led by Neil Jurd OBE, author of ‘The Leadership Book’ and founder of Kendal-based Leader-Connect.
Neil will focus on the ‘pause and allow’ leadership approach, which he believes is key to success; this was the subject of his TEDx talk on this topic at the Royal Russell School in Croydon.
Neil, who lives near Kendal, said: “I’m really looking forward to speaking at the Chamber of Commerce’s conference and explaining what people really need to know about leadership.
“People work better when they are given clear direction and then freedom of action – effective leaders need to speak less, decide less and meddle less.
Other speakers at the conference include Macarena Vergara, (leadership expert), Craig Mathieson (polar explorer and founder of the Polar Academy) and Colonel Jack Felix (a former UK Special Forces commander).
Tickets, which are £65+VAT for members and £80+VAT for non-members, are now available from cumbriachamber.co.uk.
