Aysha who was raised in a Pakistani Muslim family feels that as a second generation Muslim, the Islam that  she was taught in her community  was heavily mixed with culture which diluted the pure teachings of her faith and its deeper spiritual teachings of equality, unity, peace and humility and purpose.

Aysha shares how a deep spiritual journey into the Quran has given her a clearer insight on how to live as a woman of both the east and the  west and gives her timeless  principles and guidance on to live and conduct herself in ever changing times. She says that Islam and the timeless teachings of the Quran  are her anchor in a society that is rapidly changing and shifting in multiple ideological directions during times of unprecedented change.
