John co-creates with interesting people to get ideas out of their heads and into the world. 

He works with large organisations and subject matter experts all over the world on subjects as diverse as climate change, values, customer service, anti-smoking, leadership, agile and private equity investment. 

In his world he is best known for making whiteboard animations or doodle videos…’a sort of doodling on steroids’ Once described as ‘project therapy’ it’s fair to say he is more than just a ‘pencil for hire’.

He believes that visuals and visual literacy are a powerful but largely untapped vehicle for creativity and communication that is open to everyone with a little bit of practice. Images, metaphors, concepts and visual models are all powerful ways to think, create and help ideas emerge and form. 

They are also a highly efficient way to communicate. Our minds and imagination are precious let’s use them how ever we can! ‘Of course work is about the end result but it is great working with people who really know their stuff or are just enthusiastic about it – for me it’s like learning by osmosis’
