Leadership Training Boosts Confidence at Milnthorpe School – The Westmoreland Gazette

Leader-Connect and our Dallam School Leadership Programme was recently covered in the Westmoreland Gazette. The theme of the article was the instant uplift our Programme has had in a the most recent school staff survey.

From the Gazette:

Dallam School in Milnthorpe has seen an instant 25 per cent uplift in its most recent staff survey, just weeks after partnering with Leader Connect – a Cumbria-based leadership development organisation founded by Neil Jurd OBE, to deliver training to its senior teaching staff.

The Leader Connect programme will focus on practical, purpose-driven skills designed to empower the school’s Extended Leadership Team (ELT) to communicate more effectively, work collaboratively, make better decisions under pressure, and build good working relationships with their students, colleagues and the wider school community.

The course will be delivered to the 21 members of the ELT, which includes heads of subject and faculty, assistant heads, the headteacher and deputy, and the school’s business manager. The aim is to strengthen teaching practice, improve day-to-day efficiency, and ensure planning and delivery are consistently aligned with the school’s vision for students, helping them to learn and thrive.
